About me

I began training in 2002 at Spectrum, a centre for Humanistic and Integrative psychotherapy (www.spectrumtherapy.co.uk). Since then I have undergone over 1,200 hours of training. Spectrum is a member organisation of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP, www.ukcp.org.uk), whose code of ethics I work within. I have undertaken Sports based NLP traing with Trained Brain (www.trained-brain.com). I am also a registered member of the BACP ( British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I am experienced in business, having been a partner in a busy dental practice for over fifteen years. I bring with me my experience as employer, financial manager, business partner, Local Dental Committee member and Dental Service Committee member. In addition to this I bring my life experience to my work.
I am committed to ongoing personal and professional development and to supervision.

I was born and educated in the West of Scotland, moving to London in 1982. I joined St.John's Dental Practice in Romford in 1982, becoming a partner in 1984 until 2002, working on a one-to-one basis with a large number of people from a wide range of ethnic and social backgrounds. I have a reputation for patience and gentleness.

In 2002 I recognised a need for change in my life, and found that in entering training as a psychotherapist.

I am married and live on the border of Essex and Greater London
